To start creating your Custom Connector without OpenAI/Swagger import, click on the “Create a Connector” button.
This will open a view where you can add your Connector’s specifications. The only field that is set as mandatory is the Connector name, but it is good practice to also include a description and an icon for clarity and documentation.
- Name – The name of your new Connector, generally, the name of the API you are creating the Connector for.
- Description – The description of the Connector, generally, a short headline explaining what the API does.
- Icon – A 400px x 400px image of the API

After you have input all the necessary data, click the ‘Create’ button. This will generate your Connector, and take you directly to the Connector Settings page.
Connector Navigation
Now, let’s learn how to navigate to and in your Connector.
You can find your Custom Connector in the Cyclr Console by navigating to “Connectors” and “Custom Connectors” from the Console menu on the left hand side. Here you will find all Custom Connectors that have been created for your Partner Console.
If there are several Custom Connectors on your Partner Console, you can use the search bar to find your new Connector with the name you gave it.

Once you have found your Connector, you will see two icons to the right of the Connector, one that looks like a small clock with an arrow going around it counter clockwise, and another that looks like a pencil. When you hover your pointer over them, you can see that they are labeled as Releases and Edit, respectively.
![]() | ‘Releases’, the little clock icon, is where you can handle all versions of the Connector. This is where you will do most of the work when building your Connector. |
![]() | ‘Edit’, the pencil icon, allows you to edit the user-facing details about the Connector that you created in the ‘Create Connector’ step, such as Name, Description, and Icon. |
