4.2. How to set Authentication in Cyclr
You need to set at least one Authentication method for your Connector.
If the API you are working with supports several authentication methods, you can set up more than one authentication method in your Connector as well. They will be then presented as authentication options to your customers when they are installing the Connector.
To set authentication for your connector, you first need to navigate to the Authentication tab of your Connector Settings. Click on the Add Authentication Method button on the right hand side.
This will open a window where you can set your authentication details.

Next, add a name and description to your authentication method. Remember that these will be displayed when a user installs the Connector.
Below the Authentication Description field, there is a drop down menu where you can set your authentication type, be it Basic, APIKey or OAuth1 or OAuth2, or something else.
The rest of the fields will change slightly depending on your chosen authentication type. Mainly, you can rename the default labels for the Authentication methods to something more descriptive if you wish.
The last field with each authentication type is the ‘Is Default’ field. If the API you are working with allows for more than one authentication method, by toggling this to True, you can set one authentication method as default option that is presented when the Connector is installed.
When you’re happy with your Authentication settings, click on the ‘Save’ button.
