In your Connector’s Settings Tab, you can see that there are options for both Inbound and Outbound paging. What is their difference?

  • Inbound Paging refers to pages of data being sent into Cyclr. This is the data you are receiving from the API.
  • Outbound paging refers to when we wish to send pages to an API.

If you imagine paging to be similar to the pages of a book, each page can only fit a certain amount of data. In Cyclr, Page Size refers to the number of objects that will be returned on one page.

For example, if you set the page size to 10 for a List Contact Method, you would be returned 10 contacts per page.

Just like with Methods, always remember to test your paging in Postman before adding them in your Cyclr Connector. Note that in Postman’s parameters, page refers to the page number and limit refers to the number of objects per page.

Top Tip! Testing with a Page Size of 1 is considered a bad idea as it can frequently be the cause of issues with some APIs and Cyclr.
