Introduction

This guide takes you through obtaining authentication details from Tekion, as well as installing a Tekion Connector.

Setup & Authentication

Overview

Cyclr Partner setup:

• Obtain the following from Tekion:
  • App ID
  • Secret Key

Your customer’s setup:

• Obtain their Tekion “Dealer ID”.

Remote Setup in Tekion – performed by Cyclr Partner

From within Tekion’s system:

1. Go to the My Applications module.
2. Click on Create new.
3. Provide the appropriate details and select Request App.
4. In My Applications, select your application to open its details.
5. From the General Information tab, select Generate App Credentials.
6. Make a note of your App ID and Secret Key for use within Cyclr.

Property	Description
App ID	Your App ID.
Secret Key	Your Secret Key.

Remote Setup in Tekion – performed by your customer

• Obtain the following:
  • Dealer ID

Your customer must request connection to your application through Tekion’s Integration Hub, which they can do by following these steps:

1. Open the Integration Hub app through App Grid menu > Apps tab > APC section > Integration Hub app tile.
2. From the All Integrations tab, they should search for your application and select it.
3. They should then select the Request Connection button in the top-right corner, and fill in any relevant details.
4. You can then find them on the Dealer Dashboard, which will display their Dealer ID needed for authentication.
5. You can then select the action Mark as Onboarded to make their data available for API calls.

Warning: You must execute this action only after updating the Dealer ID of this dealer in your system. The Onboarding Status column in the Dealer Dashboard will update to say ‘yes’ to confirm this action has been successfully completed.

Property	Description
Dealer ID	Your customer’s Dealer ID.

Partner Setup in Cyclr Console

Having created an app within Tekion to obtain an App ID and a Secret Key, go into your Cyclr Partner Console:

1. Go to Connectors > Application Connector Library.
2. Use the search box to locate the Tekion Connector entry.
3. Select the Pencil button.
4. Select the Settings tab.
5. Enter the following values:

Property	Description
App ID	The App ID from your Tekion application.
Secret Key	The Secret Key from your Tekion application.

6. Select Save Changes.

If you leave these values blank, they must be provided each time the Connector is installed.

Cyclr Connector Installation

When installing a Tekion Connector, the following values are needed:

Property	Description
Base URL	The Base URL to make calls to.Either a production or sandbox environment.
Dealer ID	The Dealer ID generated when your customer requested a connection to your application.
