Setup & Authentication
Overview
Your customer’s setup:
- Obtain an API Key from their Perplexity account.
Remote Setup in Perplexity – performed by your customer
Your customer should go to their Perplexity account and obtain an API Key by following the steps below. See Perplexity’s official quickstart guide for further details.
- Sign in to Perplexity and select “Account” > “API”.
- Select the “API Keys” tab then the “+ Accept Terms and Generate API Key” button.
- Enter a name for the API Key, and select “Create Key”.
- Make a note of the newly generated API Key.

When installing a Perplexity Connector, the following value is used:
